Objectives of the meeting: to discuss preparations for the upcoming Plenary Assembly, to consider a proposal to change FIPA’s Regulations regarding the participation of members on the Executive Committee and the size of delegations to the Plenary Assembly, to review a proposal for a Virtual Parliament of the Americas and a draft of FIPA’s newsletter, and to discuss relations with other organizations, as well as Cuba’s participation in FIPA.
Objectives of the meeting: to report on the Inaugural Meeting, to consider a proposal for the functioning of the technical secretariat and possible projects related to the hemispheric agenda, to discuss details for the next Plenary Assembly, and to contemplate relations with other inter-parliamentary bodies and organizations.
OBJECTIVES
- To consider a motion to constitute the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the Americas (FIPA)
- To discuss a number of subjects under the theme of Strengthening Democracy, Creating Prosperity, and Realizing Human Potential
- To elect the chair of FIPA and the sub-regional countries for the Executive Committee, as well as the host of the next meeting
